Dear Charter Oak International Academy Families,

I am grateful to serve as the principal of Charter Oak International Academy, the very place where my teaching journey began over twenty years ago. At Charter Oak, our collective efforts are focused on nurturing open-minded, compassionate, and engaged global learners who will actively contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable world. We will accomplish this by:

• Developing global awareness and cultural competence through partnerships with families and the community.
• Fostering positive self-concepts and cultivating peaceful relationships with others.
• Cultivating curiosity and fostering an inquiry mindset.

Our commitment to consistent and transparent communication is of utmost importance. We wholeheartedly welcome and encourage your questions, ideas, and concerns as valuable contributions to our growing partnership. As a school community, we also invite you to volunteer and participate in a wide range of events, committees, classroom activities, and field trips held throughout the year. These opportunities allow our families to witness the remarkable achievements of our children and staff.

Dear Charter Oak International Academy Families,

It is with great excitement and sincere gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Charter Oak International Academy. I am honored to join a vibrant school community that is celebrated for its diversity and enriching academics.

My journey in education began as a high school science teacher, where I discovered the joy of sparking curiosity and critical thinking in young learners. I later transitioned into the field of special education, working both as a teacher and, more recently, as a special education administrator. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for inclusive education and the importance of meeting the individual needs of all students. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed when they are supported, challenged, and valued.

I look forward to introducing myself personally and getting to know everyone in the coming weeks. Please don’t hesitate to say hello, ask questions, or share your thoughts.
