Approaches to Learning

Approaches to Learning (ATL) are an integral part of an IB education and are grounded in the belief that a student’s understanding of how to learn is critical. The ATL includes five categories of interrelated skills to help students think, research, communicate, socialize and manage themselves effectively. Together, the Approaches to Learning and the attributes from the learner profile support students in becoming self-regulated learners.
